Good Friday entry

This is not a reading- based entry although it should be, being that it's Good Friday. I went to services, which is the first time I've been in my church or like 9 months (bad me, but I'm weather sensitive and as far as I know my death is not on God's agenda for the moment).

I went to Good Friday services and I must say it felt really good to be in church the building. I need to actually do that more regularly. Todd, my minister, even said that maybe the church would talk to PVTA, the transit authority, about running a shuttle to the church (or maybe varied churches) on Sunday.

How cool is it that my church is willing to do that? How cool is it that my minister wears blue jeans to Good Friday service that he is conducting? Those in my opinion are all very cool things.

Here is a hard part to write, but you can't always leave the parts of yourself I'd rather not admit to out, just because your the author. I went to services because I wanted to, but I also went with an ulterior motive, I wanted to barrow the churches tent and thought that I could ask someone there. Actually, I thought at first that my minister could just give the table (but the United Church of Christ, UCC, is not hierarchical as a rule, so I don't know why I thought that.

So I came home, pouted a bit and posted the following on Facebook "hopes the weather man are wrong and knows God is on her side for either no rain or a borrowed tent. Where could my tent be?" Mere minutes later, my buddy Cherry answered my post with a tent and she's even offered to set up for me! Much to my PCA's relief, I'm sure.

I feel that this sequence of events was actually good for my faith which needed a bit of renewing I suppose, It was nice to have a prayer answered, in that short of an order. Funny how life turns out!
